Dear Brothers of the Northeastern Province,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Brother, Dr. Tilghman “Lew” Moore, 23rd Northeastern Province Polemarch, of the Burlington–Camden (NJ) Alumni Chapter. Brother Moore entered the Chapter Invisible on March 17th, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
A Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Brother Moore was initiated into the Lambda Chapter in April 1956 and dedicated his life to achievement, leadership, and service. From his work in education to his impact across all levels of Kappa, he embodied what it truly means to live with purpose.
Brother Moore served our noble fraternity with distinction, holding leadership roles at the chapter, province, and grand levels. His contributions to Guide Right, the Achievement Commission, and the Northeastern Province shaped generations of men. His excellence was recognized through honors such as the Philadelphia Alumni Achievement Award and the James M. Kidd Award, the highest distinction in the Northeastern Province.
More than his titles, Brother Moore was a devoted husband, father, mentor, and inspiration. His life reflected resilience, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to the vision of our Founders.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and the Brothers of the Burlington–Camden (NJ) Alumni Chapter during this time.
Let us honor his life, carry his legacy forward, and continue the work he poured so much into.
Rest in eternal peace, Brother Moore. Your legacy lives!
